Mike Bellaro, CEO, Plato Partnership.

Prior to his current role, Mike was global head of equity trading for Deutsche Asset Management (DeAM). Bellaro joined Deutsche Asset Management in 1988 and held senior positions across the business including head of equity, derivative and FX trading in Frankfurt. He also oversaw the US equity and derivative trading for Deutsche Asset Management in New York.

As a founding member of Plato Partnership, Mike previously held the role of buy side co-Chair. He is also  a member of the advisory board for TradeTech DACH, TradeTech FX and International TraderForum. The TRADE named Bellaro as trader of the year (long only) award at last year’s Leaders in Trading awards ceremony at The Savoy Hotel in London.

Nej D’jelal, Sell-Side Chairman, Plato Partnership

Nej is a Managing Director and Head of EMEA Electronic Equities Product at Barclays

As co-head of the Electronic Equities business in EMEA, Nej’s responsibilities include product development and supervision of electronic trading.

Nej serves as chair of the EMEA Equities Best Execution Committee and represents Barclays on the Securities Trading Committee of AFME and as co-chair of Plato Partnership.

Nej joined Barclays in August 2012 from Goldman Sachs where he served as Executive Director. During his 6 years at Goldman his role included product development and algorithmic trading. He started his career in 2002 as an Analyst / Programmer at IT consultancy Logica.

Nej graduated from the University of Hertfordshire with a Bsc in Business with Manufacturing Systems and Msc in Computer Science.

Christoph Hock, Buy-Side Chairman, Plato Partnership

Christoph is Head of Multi-Asset Trading at Union Investment. He joined Union in April 2014 and, with his team, is responsible for all trading activities associated with portfolio management of cash equities, fixed income, fund and ETF business, FX, listed and OTC derivatives, and securities lending.

Christoph graduated with a Diplom-Bankbetriebswirt, and has more than 20 years of international investment banking, trading and management experience, having worked for companies on the sell- and buy-side, most recently as Head of Execution Sales at Barclays Bank and at Alpha Trading.

Prior to this, Christoph was founder, partner and co-CEO/Head of Portfolio Management and Trading at Tungsten Capital Management, a hedge fund company (2005-2010). He was Head of Proprietary Equity Derivatives Desk at J.P. Morgan in London and Frankfurt from 1998-2004. Christoph began his career at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson in Cash Equity Trading.
